Muztagh Tower (7,276m) is one of the most striking and technically demanding peaks in the entire Himalaya-Karakoram system. Rising as a near-vertical obelisk of granite and ice directly above the Baltoro Glacier, it has a formidable reputation — first climbed in 1956 by a strong British team and still rarely repeated today. The peak is visible from the K2 Base Camp approach, its extraordinary shape immediately recognisable. Any route on Muztagh Tower involves technical mixed climbing and ice, making this a serious alpine objective strictly for elite climbers. Skardu → Askole → Baltoro Approach (Days 3–14)
