Gasherbrum II (8,034m) — the 13th highest mountain in the world — is frequently described as the most technically "friendly" of all 8,000m peaks in Pakistan, with one of the highest summit success rates (approximately 65–70% for well-prepared expeditions). The standard SW Ridge route is a glacial approach with sustained 45–50° slopes but without the extreme technical difficulties of K2 or Masherbrum. The mountain shares a base camp vicinity with Gasherbrum I, making a combined GI + GII double expedition particularly popular among experienced 8,000m climbers. The walk-in across the Baltoro Glacier to K2's neighbourhood delivers the same extraordinary scenery as the K2 trek.

Trek to Concordia (days 3–10)

Standard Baltoro Glacier trek: Jhola → Paiyu (rest day) → Urdukas → Goro II → Concordia. Same extraordinary scenery as K2 trek.

Day 11

Concordia → Gasherbrum Base Camp (5,000m)

Leave main Baltoro and ascend to GI/GII Base Camp.

Day 12

Acclimatization Rotations (days 12–30)

Standard rotation schedule: Camp 1 (6,200m) → Camp 2 (6,900m) → Camp 3 (7,400m). Progressive exposure with returns to base camp.
