Overview
The Hispar Glacier is the western arm of the world's greatest non-polar glacier system — a vast ice highway connecting with the Biafo Glacier through Snow Lake to create 120km of continuous ice. While the full Snow Lake Traverse (trek-007) requires 21 days, this approach trek takes you deep into the Hispar Valley and onto the glacier itself in 8 days, experiencing the beginning of this extraordinary system without committing to the full traverse. The Hispar Valley above Nagar is strikingly beautiful — wide, green in summer, with high glaciated peaks flanking both sides. This is serious wilderness trekking with few other parties.

Trek onto and across the Hispar Glacier. The glacier moraine is rough but the scale is extraordinary. Camp at Bitanmal on the glacier edge.

Continue up-glacier to Kani Basa — a beautiful glacial lake with dramatic peak reflections. One of the most remote and beautiful campsites in Pakistan.

Kani Basa → Nushik La View Camp
Push higher towards the Nushik La pass approach. Outstanding views towards Snow Lake basin. Maximum altitude ~4,500m. Return to Kani Basa or camp nearby.

Trek back down the glacier to Hispar Village. Farewell dinner with local team.
