The Hispar Glacier is the western arm of the world's greatest non-polar glacier system β a vast ice highway connecting with the Biafo Glacier through Snow Lake to create 120km of continuous ice. While the full Snow Lake Traverse (trek-007) requires 21 days, this approach trek takes you deep into the Hispar Valley and onto the glacier itself in 8 days, experiencing the beginning of this extraordinary system without committing to the full traverse. The Hispar Valley above Nagar is strikingly beautiful β wide, green in summer, with high glaciated peaks flanking both sides. This is serious wilderness trekking with few other parties.
