Region
The Trango group in the Karakoram contains some of the world's most extraordinary rock walls β Trango Tower (6,286m), the Nameless Tower (6,239m), Uli Biaho (6,109m), and the Cathedral massif β vertical granite rising over 1,000m from the Baltoro Glacier. For rock climbers, this is a pilgrimage site: the Nameless Tower's east pillar is widely considered the world's finest big wall route. This expedition-style programme combines a 4-day Baltoro Glacier approach with rock climbing on the lower walls and couloirs around the base camp, a summit of a technical training objective (5,000m+), and days of exploration and photography at the base of these extraordinary formations. Suitable for experienced rock climbers (6a+ outdoors) who want to experience the Trango walls without attempting the technical 6,000m summits.

Is this a technical climbing expedition or a trekking route?
Both. The Baltoro approach (4 days) is non-technical trekking. The climbing programme at Trango BC is on real rock β multi-pitch routes up to 5,200m requiring 6a+ climbing ability. Non-climbers can still join the trek portion and enjoy the base camp photography without participating in the climbing days.
Can we attempt the Nameless Tower itself?
The Nameless Tower (6,239m) requires a full expedition permit ($15,000+), advanced technical mountaineering skills, and a 40-50 day programme. This 14-day trip accesses the base of the tower and climbs the lower walls around it β exceptional by any standard, but not the tower summit itself.
