Overview
The Gondogoro La Trek is the crown jewel of Karakoram trekking β a spectacular circuit that combines the full K2 Base Camp experience with the heart-stopping crossing of Gondogoro La Pass (5,585m). From the summit of the pass, trekkers are simultaneously greeted by K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Broad Peak, Masherbrum (7,821m), and Chogolisa (7,668m) β arguably the greatest concentration of 8,000m peaks visible from any single vantage point on Earth. The northeast side of the pass involves 50-degree snow slopes requiring fixed ropes and crampons, making this a genuine high-alpine challenge requiring technical skill.
