Muztagh Tower (7,276m) is one of the most striking and technically demanding peaks in the entire Himalaya-Karakoram system. Rising as a near-vertical obelisk of granite and ice directly above the Baltoro Glacier, it has a formidable reputation — first climbed in 1956 by a strong British team and still rarely repeated today. The peak is visible from the K2 Base Camp approach, its extraordinary shape immediately recognisable. Any route on Muztagh Tower involves technical mixed climbing and ice, making this a serious alpine objective strictly for elite climbers. Skardu → Askole → Baltoro Approach (Days 3–14)
Standard Baltoro Glacier approach: Askole–Jhola–Paiyu–Urdukas–Goro II–Concordia–Muztagh Tower Base Camp. 11 days of spectacular trekking.
Base Camp Operations (Days 15–40)
Extended technical route work, acclimatization rotations, weather monitoring, and summit attempts on the chosen route (Northeast Ridge or West Ridge depending on conditions and team).
