Overview
The Neelum Valley (Neelum meaning Blue Gem) in Azad Kashmir is one of Pakistan's most beautiful and accessible river valleys. The Neelum River carves a dramatic emerald-green course through dense forest and alongside towering peaks, passing ancient villages, waterfalls, and orchards all the way to the Line of Control. This trek explores the upper reaches of the valley — past Keran, Sharda, and onwards to the pristine alpine meadows above the snowline. Unlike the northern treks, Neelum is lush and forested, offering a completely different landscape experience. The local Kashmiri culture and cuisine add an extra dimension to this extraordinary walk.
