Expedition Overview

Broad Peak (8,047m) is the 12th highest mountain in the world and offers perhaps the most dramatic base camp setting of any 8,000m expedition — camped directly beside K2's Abruzzi face with K2 as your constant backdrop. The mountain's name derives from its wide, flat summit ridge (1.5km long). The standard West Face / Normal Route is technically less demanding than K2 but still requires excellent high-altitude acclimatization, sustained glacier travel, and ability to climb 50–55° slopes at extreme altitude. Broad Peak is often combined with K2 or GI/GII expeditions.

Acclimatization (days 12–30)
